Here’s a list of things and events we’re currently going ga-ga over.
After what can only be described as a frustrating, but expected, experience with the recent announcement of the movie line-up for the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival, it’s such a joy to watch the trailers for the featured movies in the 2014 Cinemalaya Film Festival. In this article, I’m giving you six movies I’m particularly excited to watch.
I just caught PETA’s Rak of Aegis over the weekend and immediately fell in love with the play. So much so, in fact, that I’m planning to catch it again sometime in August. If you haven’t seen it yet, you absolutely need to buy tickets now because this is a show you would not want to miss.
Fresh from winning the amateur talent contest “Dreams Get Real” (through a three-way first place tie), sponsored by McJim Classic Leather, three talented musical acts have just released new music videos as part of their bid to become the next big thing in OPM.
So the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) just announced the entries to the upcoming 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), and outside of a couple of films, it doesn’t look like this set of movies will be any better than the movies shown in previous MMFFs. Which is terrible and sad and altogether frustrating.
In any case, here are five reasons why we think the MMFF will probably suck again this year. At least we have the Cinemalaya to look forward to.
